The Park offers direct access to the Buller River providing numerous fishing and swimming locations.
After a long day on the road, arrive at our riverside Motorhome Park and relax while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There is nothing like a refreshing dip in the river, enjoy a deep relaxing pool, or a frolic in the water, this river offers both – you have a choice of 4 different spots, so it will never be too busy!
Take a glass of beer or wine with you and enjoy a soothing stroll through the native bush and down to the Buller river. You can also take a swim or set out your rod and have a go at fishing.

So what to do in the Murchison area?
The township of Murchison is just 8kms from the park. There is a well-stocked mini-supermarket, a number of cafes and coffee stops, interesting shopping and the area has a range of activities and attractions:
An action packed option for exploring the Buller River is the famous Buller Canyon Jet. 40 mins of thrills, sites and sounds of the Buller from a powerful purpose built jetboat. The Buller Canyon Jet awaits those wanting to explore the river that bit closer.
The Buller Gorge Swingbridge is just a few minutes from Murchison. New Zealand’s longest swingbridge gives access to bush walks, with amazing river views. It is also the starting point for the Buller Canyon Jet.
Even closer to Buller River, Ultimate Descents provides a range of rafting trips, catering for all ages and tastes. From gentle family-style floats to full on whitewater adventures.
