Relax by the river – one of the best things about staying here is having the Buller River right on your doorstep. Wander along the riverside, cool off in one of the swimming spots, or simply find a quiet place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. With plenty of room around the park and a relaxed rural setting, it’s a peaceful base for couples, independent travellers and anyone wanting a restful stop on their South Island journey.
Refresh and recharge – enjoy clean, modern facilities, thoughtfully maintained grounds and the easy-going atmosphere our guests appreciate. We welcome motorhomes, caravans and tents, with cabins available for travellers who prefer a roof over their heads. Whether Murchison is part of your journey or your destination, our riverside park is an easy place to stop, unwind and recharge. We’re well placed for travellers moving between Nelson, Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes National Park, Hanmer Springs, the Cook Strait ferry and the West Coast, including Punakaiki (the Pancake Rocks). Christchurch is also only around four hours away by road, making Murchison a convenient place to break up a longer South Island journey or stay a little longer.

We welcome travellers arriving by motorhome, campervan, caravan or car, with clean facilities, spacious grounds and direct access to the Buller River.
